When they aren’t paling around with our campers, what are our Summer Camp Counselors up to? Read on for some fun facts about our outstanding summer staff!
- Devin O’Brien – Devin was an extra in a TV show and appears on playbill.com for being in the 1st High School production of American Idiot.
- Dakota Judge – Don’t mess with Dakota, she is certified in stage combat and she is not afraid to use it.
- DeAnna Nelson – When she is not teaching gym at Washington School in Summit, DeAnna enjoys wood crafting (dice, jenga, coasters).
- Marissa Debrot – Marissa competed on a ballroom dance team!
- Elizabeth Tenny – Elizabeth taught herself to play the ukulele, performed at the French Festival in Scotland, and has been cliff jumping!
- Katherine Barasso – This talented CIT sang at the Vatican and twice at Carnegie Hall.
- Callyn Cass – Callyn went to Holland to play field hockey.
- Elizabeth Colagrande – Elizabeth still has a baby tooth.
- Cassi Mendez – Cassi competed in the Cheerleading World Championships SEVEN times!
- Tracee Mendenhall – Tracee attended a taping of the Mickey Mouse Club. She has also built a couch, bed, and desk from scratch… She makes assembling Ikea furniture look like a breeze!
- Rochelle Kaper – Rochelle studied photography in Iceland.
- Jessica Fascenelli Weisenbach – Our Dance & Performing Arts Director met The Black Eyed Peas, Brandy, and Dick Van Dyke while studying dance with Debbie Allen in LA.
- Caleigh McGuire – Caleigh’s Ice Bucket Challenge gone wrong video made it onto America’s Funniest Home Videos. Check it out here!
- Cecily Stabler– Cecily was featured in Sports Illustrated Magazine in their “Faces in the Crowd” segment for outstanding amateur athletes.
- Michelle Barrett– What makes Michelle such a great counselor? Maybe because she knows exactly what it’s like to be in a Connection Camper’s shoes! Michelle attended summer camp at The Connection and came back as a counselor in 2015. Here she is with Ms. Michelle as a camper over 10 years ago and again this summer as a counselor!
Get to know your child’s favorite counselor at Magic Fountain on Wednesday, August 16th from 5-7pm for Summer Camp Scoops! Have a cone of the best selling ice cream in town! A portion of the proceeds from the night will benefit The Connection Scholarship Fund. All participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a camp pillow and fun prizes!
