COVID-19 PROCEDURES, STANDARDS, AND GUIDELINES
Because your child’s safety guides every decision we make, we will strictly adhere to COVID-19 preventative measures. General policies and procedures are based on COVID-19 standards and guidelines from the New Jersey Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Education, and CDC. Preschool specific procedures are determined by the licensing agency, New Jersey Department of Children and Families.
Should schools need to close, we will provide care as permitted by the Department of Children and Families and Department of Health.
Preschoolers will frequently wash their hands with soap and water throughout the day. Hand sanitizer will be readily available.
Staff will wear masks and preschoolers will be strongly encouraged to wear them. They will be required to wear them when entering or exiting the building or traveling in the hallways.
Our Preschool class size is limited to 15 children.
Social distancing markers and signage regarding safety protocols are present throughout the building.
Only staff and members who have passed the health screening are permitted to enter the building. Parents/caregivers are not permitted inside the building. Any other visitor is restricted to those necessary (such as for building repairs) and must pass the health screening.
All policies and procedures set forth by the New Jersey Department of Health will be followed regarding any positive/potential COVID-19 cases.
All activities will adhere to DCF standards.
Enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedures are followed using EPA approved disinfectants. Additionally The Connection utilizes a misting sprayer to assist the disinfection process.
Whenever possible, facility windows and doors are open and fans circulate air.
As an exercise facility, the building has quality ventilation and all air filters are HEPA and new. Equipment that must be shared will be disinfected prior to and at the conclusion of each use. Preschoolers will receive individual supply packets for activities such as arts and crafts.
Staff has been thoroughly trained on hygiene/sanitation, PPE, COVID-19 signs and symptoms, and infection control.
All staff will adhere to Connection standard and COVID-19 policies and procedures.
